One of my friends at college recommended that I check out this pic and draw it... so here it is. (thanks Ruthie)

This took me a little less than 40 hours.. Done on 11 x 14 smooth bristol board. 9b, hb, 5b pencils.. with 2b charcoal pencil.

I have not seen the original so i cant really compare it, but i can see that you have great skills in drawing, thats for sure. The eyes are very nicely detailed, the folds on the clothing looks realistic. The torn part in the lower left corner should maybe have stronger lines to show better ^^ the shading on the face is just right and the hair looks awesome, i hate drawing hair myself ^^ keep up the good work ;)

It turned out wonderful! Your shading makes me so jealous. Everything about it is just so well done. I really like the folds in the clothing. I couldn't do them that well if my life depended on it.
